Summer Marketing and Core Curriculum Alignment Lesson Plan Join us Monday, July 13 and Tuesday July 14th at beautiful Eastern Michigan University to design marketing lesson plans that integrate core academic concepts and standards. You get to choose the area you would like to focus on--Math, English Language Arts, or Economics as we design marketing lessons for our marketing students that reinforce core academic standards. Lunch and snacks are included in the $150 fee and all lessons will be compiled and distributed to participants and posted on the MME website for you to download and use in your marketing classes. It's Not Too Late

Conclave will be exceptional this year. If you have never been to the conference this is the year to go--it is an easy drive to Cincinnati and I think you will agree with me that it is one of the best conferences for marketing teachers. If you have been to Conclave before, you need to go again. Many different tracks--great speakers--great Celebration.

The deadline for early registration has been extended. Register for Conclave by midnight, Monday, April 27th, and MBAResearch will cover the cost of your ticket for The Celebration.

(You really donn't want to miss it this year. We have our own party barge on the Ohio River!)

To meet the extended deadline:

• Issue a purchase order postmarked or faxed by 4/27, or
• Register by phone or fax with your credit car (remember, our phones close at 1:30 on Fridays), or
• Use your credit card to guarantee a school purchase order being mailed after the deadline.

DECA announces Conclave scholarships

New teachers (3 or fewer years) who have never attended a Conclave are invited to apply for one of ten scholarships being offered by DECA Inc. in partnership with MBAResearch. Each scholarship includes the basic Conclave registration, three pre-conference workshops, and $250 toward travel expenses - a total value of over $600. Applications are due March 31, 2009. Scholarship winners will be notified by April 6, 2009. For additional information, contact Michelle Walker at DECA (michelle.walker@deca.org). Note: Two of the ten scholarships are reserved for new state DECA advisors who have not previously attended Conclave.
